Extreme Nebari in Nature

Post  Pippi on Sat Jul 19, 2014 8:23 pm

On the shores of Lake Ontario in Ajax, nebari exposed by nature.

And I LOVE the bark on this pine!

And this.

The angle of this tree is amazing when you consider it's massive size, compare it to the benches. I think it's a willow of some sort, the bark is also gorgeous and unusual.

i've seen black willow with gnarly bark like that..., foliage on the paler/variegated side... same ?

and i'm surprised ontario shoreline trees have so much lower exposure...
lake michigan is actually UP 2 feet (!) from last year...
(because of the winter we just had)

ruining some of our surf breaks
while creating new ones...

but i digress  bounce
