This was a workshop tree from the Texas show in 2000.  Hal Mahoney  ran the workshop.  Here's the tree I drew:

I wonder how you trim it. Does it back but and survive if you cut back and no foliage on the branches.?

It buds back readily and profusely. Not always where you want it.
