Mario,
Nice job. I like the changes you have made to the tree, have you considered any other pot choices?
I am wondering...did you airlayer the top of the plant? Is it correct to assume that azalea can be airlayered easily?
Thank you for sharing.

Lovely work Mario.
I'm glad that you reduced the height as I was getting quite dizzy following all the zig-zags up to the apex.
Did you "lose" the bottom right hand branch?? The only comment that I would have is that, IMHO, the foilage on the right hand side is now making the tree look a bit lop-sided.
Excellent job anyway and thanx for sharing,
Okk, Okk,
Simon

I hope you understand well ... or you me
Pot is definitely wrong ... next season going to a new pot.
Airlayer I did not want to do.
Right foliage was enormous, far greater than the foliage.
Thank you for your constructive criticism!

Oh no! You mean you just cut off all that growth and threw it away?
I would not have been able to do that. The tree does look much better.

Love the pot but are you sure the colour is right for the tree? I see a Yew or a Juniper in a pot like that.

Hi Mario,
I think the shape of this pot is fine for your tree, and the color is pretty with this variety - 'Gyoten'.
If I may offer you a couple of suggestions concerning azaleas...
First, they have a fine root system that needs protection. Your tree is planted a little too high, but that may because this pot is really too shallow.
Second, azaleas are always happier when slighty overpotted - this pot is too small - and like I mentioned, could be deeper. Although the color was terrible (for the flowers), the first pot you showed from when your tree was taller is a well proportioned azalea pot.
Check out my "Elaeagnus" thread about the sphagnum, that would help here too.
Good luck!
Russell

Hi Russell,
Well spoken! Today I put in a bowl of moss, preserving the fine roots. I have no more appropriate pot. After a few days I will put the photos!
Thanks
regards
Mario
