Hawthorn Care

Post  MKBonsai on Mon Apr 07, 2014 10:11 pm

Graham Potter gives some good advice on his Youtube video site. Harry Harrington also gives some good advice on his website and in his books. They can object to too much root disturbance but are pretty tough and forgiving above soil level.

Good luck with them - we're be interested in any progression series images,

Feed very well in the growing season and prune new shoots before they begin to harden off. Do not re-pot hawthorn very often, we recommend every 3-6 years depending upon the size of pot and rate of growth. Thats what G Potter says

Nice Erin pot you got it in Cool

This is my tread, it is basicly about hawthorns, of big sice, I dug up in 2011...one of them look a bit like yours.
Maybe you can use some of it.

Kind regards Yvonne
