Is this an indication?
I have lately bought a quercus faginea pre-bonsai.
The bottom zone branches are just starting to leaf-out, while the rest are a little slower.
Thereby the bottom zone -in this instance- has a lead over the middle zone or the apice in terms of emergence of leaves. Does this suggest which is the dominance zone of trees?
P.S.: I hope you can understand my question...(language barrier, you see)

Re: Is this an indication?
Hi Alexandra,
it is not always the case. maybe it is because the nutrients passes first in lower part of the tree, but later on the top part will catch up and will be more dominant because of sun exposure factor. it is just the survival character of the tree. it will prioritize which can give it the best way to survive.
regards,
jun

Thank you, Jun!
A quite rational explanation!
I hope some day I will post it here for IBC to see and suggest
