Fish Fertilizer Concentration?

Does anyone use fish fertilizer?  The instructions on the Alaska Fish Fertilizer bottle for "Container Outdoor Plants" say to "Mix 1 Tablespoon per gallon of water for every cubic foot of soil."  I'm not sure if it is saying to use a stronger solution for pots with more volume, or just to use more of the solution at the same concentration.

Also, there is a lot of advice online saying that when mixing fertilizer for Bonsai with well-draining soil, we should use a stronger solution than what the instructions recommend for "container plants".  Does that apply to fish fertilizer as well?  Thanks in advance.

in answer to your query, i personally use 1 tbsp per gallon, no matter how many trees i am watering or how much soil is in the pot... those factors just dictate how many gallons i will be mixing up.

and speaking of mixing up:
careful w/ using some fertilizers at greater than the recommended strength, especially non-organic ones...

If you have the trees (plants?) in free-draining Bonsai Soil that you want to fertilize - then it will be difficult to use too much organic fertilizer.
Bonsai soil doesn't retain fertilizer or water very well, as compared to other types of potting media. This makes it safer and desirable, to feed your trees more often.
And, because of this, I fertilize my own trees once per week in the warmer, growing season months.

Plus, you may want to consider a fish emulsion/seaweed mix fertilizer. That combination of trace elements and nutrients is hard to beat when feeding your trees.   

An EXTREMELY achieved member of my bonsai club uses fish emulsion for his trees every month among other fertilizers. He uses a LOT more than the recommendation. I believe close to a cup per gallon. Same thinking that it's hard to overdo with the right, loose soil mix.

His trees are some of the healthiest in our club.
