I am about to progress on the top part of the tree and its overal ramification this season.  A lot of work in next 3-5 years.   My thoughts about a tread graft on the right side of the tree are fading away  -  the habitus of this small hornbeam should reflect the harsh conditions of its original location. A place with limited precipitations and harsh winter periods.  Just on the borders of the occurence of this species.

It would be quite scary forest Bobby. I would never ever go there to pick some mushrooms Wink

But seriously if I ever start with a forest it will be a mixture of different species - such as the traditional forest in Central Europe.  A pine or two, an oak, few hornbeams and beeches.  So as this is a 4-6 hands project I doubt I can ever gor for it as I am a bit of lone ranger.
