Re: cassurina air layering
Gooddday, I have very good result in layering casuarina. Two mounds ago I did 3 layers and with success. For good results the roots must get a brown color before cutting hem off. Afer that I plant them and till today they are growing very good. Rakesh

Yes. With any layer, the longer you can wait the better. Impatience usually results in roots that are so tender they break off when put into soil -- even with the sphagnum still attached.

Air lyring.
I air layered in late september and it is december
And the roots are running in the polybag.
Could any one tell me should i go for a cut or not .
The weather is begning to get cold. Temp at present is
19/25 min and max and soon the temp will drop more

Re: cassurina air layering
They are quite easy to airlayer in my climate! Spring is a good time, as for most airlayers.

That's too early to cut. It needs to be protected and then go past spring into early summer. Then cut and plant. The roots will have time to harden off before next winter. That's what I would do. Our temperatures are mild here. Only sporadic cold fronts during winter.amanluthra688 wrote:Thanks friends
