Regarding sun.. Empty Regarding sun..

Im actually not sure if I have asked about this earlier, but I was just wondering..
I have seen galleries with bonsai, and landscaping etc and seen that people have their trees standing outside on these small tables or logs and such. Some are in the middle of the garden and getting sun almost all day. I have also seen a norwegian having alot of bonsai trees standing in the middle of the garden.
So the question is - why? My trees - native and tropicals cant have this. Its not warm here in Norway, only about 25 degrees at summertime, (warm for me, not in general terms) and really cold at winters.
If I have my trees standing in full sun, the leaves get burned. My trees were standing on my porch, getting sun from about sunrise to 1200 or maybe 1300 o'clock.
So, in the future I would love to have a big garden, with alot of plants bushes and trees, and tons of bonsai trees but how do you guys do it? Do you move all the trees away if its a bit hot?

Personally, most of my trees are in full sun ,all year round. Some positively thrive, some suffer a bit. Those that suffer, I try and shade during the hottest part of the day. Trees live and thrive in different positions within a forrest for instance. Oak for example in a forrest fills the top of the canopy, gaining full sun. Yew and Hazel are understory trees and are quite happy in dappled sun. I cant speak for tropicals as I have none. Even trees that can cope with full sun, can benefit from a bit of shade to improve the colour of the foliage. Tap water can be an issue with some trees, making them look as if they've been cooked in the sun.

It is mostly down to selecting the right species for the spot. For my area full sun and maximum wind exposure is for Pines and Junipers. My maples need a little shelter from prevailing winds and some dappled shade from midday sun. Most trees are fine, so long as watering requirements are catered for.
