Small Training pot?

Post  LittleJoe on Sun Dec 08, 2013 1:13 am

Did a search but only found a thread on large training pots. I'm going to be re-potting my Brucida Spinua or Black Olive in early summer and was wondering,Plastic or unglazed ceramic?

For a training pot, a plastic one would be just fine.

Hope this helps.

* Amazon has the air-pot and smart pot, if you need to test the situation. There are stainless steel colanders out there with stable bases, cost down here is 20.00 TT $ = US $ 2.15 out of India and China.

Joe either will work. There also are mica which are more durable than plastic. What size/style are you looking for? I or someone in the TBS may have one that will fit the bill. careful of the ice!!

I was looking at something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rectangular-Plastic-Bonsai-Training-Pots-10-5-x7-75-x3-5/261335318111?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D3259438356158723007%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D131066291391%26

The tree is in a 8 x 6 x 2.5 inch pot and as you can see, I'd like to get it deeper to deal with the roots.
