Yup. Pretty on TV. Thankfully none here -- just cool. Enjoy sitting by the fireplace. Its going to be a long winter's night before spring arrives.

Expletive
Blame it on the calendar. Chanuka came extra early this year, so Chanuka weather came early too. We made it to the Rochester meeting with some snow, but on the way back it was just rain.

Re: EXPLETIVE!!!!!
It's supposed to reach record lows for this date here this week. Single digit (Fahrenheit) temperatures are predicted.
And I recently decided to be bold and adopt some Trident maples and a Japanese Black pine this year.
If I'm backed into a corner, I'll put my food out on the balcony, and the more delicate trees will go in the refrigerator where they will enjoy a comfortable dormancy.

Lordy, lordy, life is sooooooooooooooh difficult.
Merry Christmas !!!
Tree goes up on the 6th. Ho ho ho!!
The grinch:evil:
* Now even at the risk of over populated zones [ and I have 4 acres around me if I wish ]
why would I ever go North wards ????????????????????????????????????????????????
Sipping on fresh fruit juice.

Yeah. Here, too -- the snow was last week. But it is starting to rain.DougB wrote:Jim come on down to the Sand Hills -- we are in the 70's this week. (just rubbing it in.)

Re: EXPLETIVE!!!!!
Brace yourself Jim, another arctic blast is on its way. Your temps should drop 40 or more degrees from yesterday's high within the next 36 hours. We are expecting +10 F tomorrow night, that is -12 C for the rest of the world. Its still too early in winter to have to deal with this.

The Weather Bureau doesn't seem to think we're going to drop below freezing over the next week or so, so I think I'll survive . . . <g>
Now, if the sun would only shine for a few moments --at least. I've forgotten what it feels/looks like.

Right, most of the southeast will be spared from the extreme temperature drop and associated frozen precipitation....but it seems like it won't stop raining here until some time in 2014.JimLewis wrote:The Weather Bureau doesn't seem to think we're going to drop below freezing over the next week or so, so I think I'll survive . . . <g>

Re: EXPLETIVE!!!!!
We've got 100mph winds and coastal storm surges, causing flooding here. Nasty weather all round.

Wow,Kevin,
hurricanes in winter ?
I had a November week on the Isle of Wight, which I think was supposed to be some type of hurricane weather.
Amazing!
Light showers, some sun, breezy and the min-max thermometer says 84 deg.F [ 26 deg.C ] night still falling to 72-70 deg.F [ 22 deg.C] Normally the rains will become weaker and weaker and then disappear. Humidity will begin to drop as well.
Hands itching for Jan.2nd, the start of repotting.Get to look at the air-pot results.
Still painting, and enjoying it.
Tree up tomorrow and maid polished the terrazzo floors today, curtains changed - soft earth green [ terre verte warm ].
Christmas
Later.
