Growing Apricot Bonsai, Not Ume

Post  juniper07 on Mon Nov 04, 2013 7:31 pm

Hello IBC,

I want to know if anyone has grown Prunus arminiaca (regular apricot) as bonsai. If you have, then I would like to know the pros and cons of this variety as bonsai. I know that their nodes and leaf size are naturally small, so that should be a plus.

Pictures would be great too.

Hi

I'm busy air layering an Apricot from the rootstock it was grafted to.

I was looking to buy a Pear (bit starved for material) and decided to rather take the Apricot.

Yes, trying, No, nothing to show yet. Very Happy
