Hello Thientrakieu,
Nice gardenstone.
Do you use it as a welcoming stone at the entrance of the house
or as a waterpoolstone or both?
Free standing in the garden would be nice as well i feel, but i can not see the other sides of the stone.
Can the stone be cleaned even more to gain a darker color? (not polishing ofcours, that would ruin the stone)
I think i prefer this way standing but for fun i made a virtual with a horizontal placement

Two things,...I agree with Sunip as to the horizontal direction of the stone.
and am happy to see the use of tenpai , the little sailboat, used to furthur the aid of the imagination.
At our selection process for our next show, an individual used a stone from the desert along side a small
roadrunner type bird. It was fabulous. something I'm not used to seeing but definetely something I would like to see more of.

Hi Thientrakieu
This one is size I like very very much and a real winner!... ThumbsUp
As Sunip suggest waterpool by front door would be best way displayed.
I see the placement as if seen from above, like a bird flying over,
this way the well will hold the most water possible,
and the frontal beauty of the stone could best be appreciated.

Hello,
A standing, or lying on its side positioning gives the possibility of a cave with pool,
A lying position on its back to get a waterpool stone with a bigger pool is really lovely to.

Sunip! IMHO the other way up looks even better, two round areas pointing up,
look beautiful as a pair, with stones natural flat area facing down, sitting on.
after looking closely I see the face of a giant foo dog, guardian of the family.
about to bite or roaring. see 1st nostrils, pair of small holes on snout,
2nd look up at ears, one each side at top, then 3rd look for depressions where eyes go.
4th is the roaring wide open mouth, even white teeth can be seen under top lip.
This stone would look beautiful on a rectangle concrete pedestal about 12" high,
with fancy edge near top, inside in reverse made slightly bigger than the stone,
make wood box, fill with cement, remove frame and finish outside walls... Basketball

Hello Stonener
I never seen the stone in total but I think the vertical way the stone stands on the moment is more the Vietnamese appreciation.
The classical waterpool, in the virtual seen as in a birdsview, is lovely as a welcoming stone but maybe more of a Japanese appreciation, anyway i would love to have it in our garden.
With the stone placed on its side as a gardenstone i would prefer a natural placement, it depends on a lot of things,
the garden, how far the stone is submerged into the soil, the way the pedestral is made, the gardener.(and how much he loves dogs)

Hello Thientrakieu,
Thank you for showing.
The stone gives me a feeling of a snow covered mountain ridge on a cold day with a thick fog
heavy with an already starting snow shower.

Dear Sunip and Stonner.
Thank you very much for your comments . This is another stone but I cut it to have a level bottom. There is a water pool on the mountain top, is it ok?

Excellent "Winter Mountain Lake" Landscape Stone!... Like a Star @ heaven
Displayed with a deciduous tree and a dry accent grass,
would be dynamite and very compelling. I can feel the cold!
I understand why you coundn't wait to share it,
once the daiza is finished maybe you will up-date us?
Looks large and heavy, what size please... Basketball

Hi Maliea Chiem
I'm very happy to make your acquaintance. I live in Quang Nam province where there are two world cultural heritages : Hoi An ancient town and Myson towers. If you plan to spend Tet in Viet Nam you can communicate with me by phone ( 01685379606), I happily welcome you to my house.

Thientrakieu,
Han hanh gap anh. Your invitation is a such a kindness!
Tet in Vietnam has been my dream for a long time! I will let you know in advance of my coming! I speak rough Vietnamese now but am improving everyday.
Hoi An beautiful & yes, important part of Viet history. Do these rocks come from Thu Bon river system? With searching & a little luck perhaps ill return to the U.S with a truly unique souvenir, literal piece of Vietnam!!! <3
I am intrested in comparing Viet bonsai to the bonsai of
other cultures, too.
I look forward to further correspondence with you & seeing more of your stones.

Hi Maliea Chiem.
These stones come from many rivers such as Nam Giang river, Hiep Duc river, Song Vang river, Phuoc Son river, song Tranh river, Tra My river... some of them come from Duy Trung mountain creek and many other places. I'm not good at bonsai. I'm not an expert in bonsai but my friend is. This is my new stone, I will be very glad to have your comment.

WOW!! The stand is PERFECT, highlighting the narrow "neck". He seems to be speaking. . . What is he telling YOU?
The eye depressions even seem to have pupils! Can I have close up of eyes please?
He also looks like he's got a mole above his lip!
The image is clear & instantly recognizable but, as I pondered further, I found all the lovely details; a clear chin, the pupils, the curvature that are his nostrils, subtle but clear.
I've never seen anything like this!!!
Thank you for giving me info on rivers of Vietnam.

Hi MAliea Chiem.
Thanks for your comment. It's very interesting when you described thís stone in details. Each stone only has some suggestions, based on them we find out the meaning that they want to say. You asked me what he was telling me and here is my answer : He tells me that : " Am I handsome? " How about you?

What a majestic stone!! Very Happy look at that mountain lake depression, especially from the "birds eye view" photo!
Nice diaza, slender rounded lip suits the stone in my opinion.
What kind of wood?

It's only a normal kind of wood, In Viet Nam, we call it " Keo lá tràm". Here is a pattern stone, I hope you will give it a suitable siignificance

Hello Thientrakieu
The stone gives the feeling of a flowing river in the woods.
Somewhere it has the feeling of a river creature
Horizontally placed it gives such a creature as well?
