Re: Gmelina defoliated
It's beautiful!
There is not much I have to offer on this one Khaimraj, other than to say that I really like it.
Nice work, that is a very impressive tree.

Thank you,Auballagh,
and in about March/April, please come back and look when it is it's normal state of dense leaf.
In about 2 weeks or so, this shrub will be re-foliated.
The "winter" look is just to show the group the bones, and because on another forum, a Japanese trained professional is looking at the density of the branchlets, and other aspects.
He has already noted the Chinese influence, though the Southern folk will probably say Japanese.
I think I fused the two worlds to give my island's world.

Re: Gmelina defoliated
LLB,
If you won't mind my suggestion. Stop growing the "apex" top on the left side direction, the tree is a bit tilted to the left and you grow more of the top in this side it will lost more of its visual balance. other than that the tree is excellent.
regards,
jun

Re: Gmelina defoliated
Thanks L.L.B,
you probably cannot see the bamboo rod, where I am trying to move the branch [ when it was in leaf ] to the right, and the green twist tie, where I am trying to pull down to fill in a hole.
The bamboo got wet and over time moved slightly back to the left.
My fault for showing a shrub that is never without leaves, I needed someone to examine the bones of the tree.
I will do what I have to, to correct the situation today. I have to be careful what I cut, because the design is for foliage / canopy and not a fake winter look.
Good Eyes, and thank you very much for taking the time to look and comment.
