Hey Folks,

thought I might share a normal rainy day with you on this island. Yesterday.
Being small and mostly hilly, this water will be partially absorbed and mostly sent to the sea.
The ricefield areas will fill and if you are dumb enough to build your house there, you look for what you get.

The soil mix, and time of repotting, handles the heavy rain easily, nothing drowns and the moss [ miniature lawn ] which is everywhere, will eventually fill the pot giving protection from the large rain drops.
Growth will slow or stop and then continue on in a burst of energy.

If you look at the Bonsai image, the larger J.Black pine is in a porous, but glazed on the sides pot.
The porous quality seems to be our answer to growing this pine in the Tropics.

This morning temperature - 20 deg.C [ 69 deg.F ] - you can see your breath - Christmas is coming.
Today is also sunny and pleasant - yah !!!!
Enjoy.
Khaimraj

Do you live in an industrial area dear Khaimraj?
What are all those burning flames in the background?

Is that rice at the back of the bonsai?  I have never seen a riceplant in real life.  I wonder if rice will come up if you sow Tastic or Basmati?  hihihihihihhhi

Hello Andre'
[ chuckle ]

I live about a mile from the Point-a-Pierre oil refinery, but the wind blows in an opposite direction, so there is no smell.

Lord, Andre', corn, or that is pretty tall rice - ha ha

Am I supposed to be talking to you ?Embarassed
Stay well
Khaimraj

Andre', look down and you can see the second level to the eastern patio. It's a growing trough for vegetables. My nephew is learning about growing vegetables. This year he did tomatoes and sweet peppers, latest crop is corn and cabbages. So the corn came up behind the balcony the bonsai are on.

This shot about 3 or so years ago, the next stage is going on, re-coating with white cement and then polished.
