Strange stuff growing off the leaves

Hi i have Jacaranda plants and i found these wierd crystal like things growing on all the plants, on some of the stems. They look very healthy otherwise but im wondering if anyone have an idea of what it is and whats causing it to grow. Should i be worried?

Also i should add that i've only used fertilizer once and it wasnt much, i use bulbs since i dont get much sun but i cant figure out what it might be that's causing it. As for now they look well but it would be nice if someone had any idea what it might be?

Has it gotten worse?

Are the crystals hard or soft? On the bark or penetrating to the tissue beneath? Possible some chewing type insect has damaged the back and sap has crystallized on the surface. Similar to how peaches leak Jelly when damaged by insects.

Try lifting off the crystals to see whats beneath.

the crystals are kind of hard but not very, they havent penentrated the tissue beneath and has not gotten worse. Some of the crystals have changed colour to red/brown. You might be right about it being something that the plant has leaked itself but not sure why.

As i said it has not gotte worse and the plants are fine, maybe its because of insects damaging it but i havent seen any insects. Thx for reply!
