To those who live in Metro Manila, Philippines

Hi Guys,

This is my 2nd year of having a bonsai and 1st year in actually practicing the art. My main problem now is finding a supplier for some of the tools that I need and I already tried many places but I really cant locate the following. I hope those who also live in Metro Manila can help.

1. Where do you buy lime sulfurs?
2. What wood preserver or wood hardener you are currently using and where do you buy it?
3. What wood carving tool you are currently using and where do you buy it?
4. Do you use wound sealants and cut pastes? If yes, what do you use and where are you getting your supplies?

I know I can buy online, but I prefer a local supplier as much as possible.

I'm Not from Manila but , we buy Bonsai Supplies like Lime Sulfur, Bonsai wire,etc. at SM megamall- Harbest Store near National Bookstore..

What about power tools? Im looking at Makita die grinders and dremel products. I already found a dremel vendor but I cant seem to find a vendor for Makita here. I found stores who carry the Makita brand but they dont have die grinders, mostly angle grinders and other tools.

Thanks a lot for the info bayan! I thought I would have to purchase most of my tools and supplies online. Now I have a better option. Speaking of local, does anyone know or is affiliated with any bonsai clubs in the northern parts of Luzon? A newbie here would like to join.

I live here at Baguio City. Are you currently in a bonsai club?

Im not a member of any club at the moment..
Right now I dont have plans in joining any club here in metro manila. But if I found a club in our province, ill probably join.

From Narvacan, ilocos Sur here!!,. I think I saw one in Handyman.. There is one link but not so sure, you can contact the seller..

Are you referring to Gateway Mall? the group of  justine Andres from Rizal Bonsai Club? I thought your Bonsai Gallery doesn't exist anymore! Thanks for the Info, I hope I can visit your Gallery one day..
