In 2006 I collected this Taxus from a hedge (along with 5 others, 2 shown HERE: https://ibonsaiclub.forumotion.com/t9070-progression-taxus-collected-from-a-hedge?highlight=hedge AND HERE: https://ibonsaiclub.forumotion.com/t14151-progression-taxus-4-collected-from-a-hedge?highlight=hedge). I planted the tree in a free-draining mix and let it recover and grow for 3 years. I re-potted it into a smaller cut-down nursery pot in spring of 2009 and removed the clay soil with a mild water jet. (2 following pics in 2010)

In 2010 I cut off the left branches that would later become deadwood.

An interesting rendition of the trunks on the left into deadwood. Have you considered jinning the next and tallest trunk as well?

A virtual of possible adjustments. Shorten the tree and jin a branch that is too heavy.
