which type of stone you like??

there are too many types of stone, which type do you like? someboday like natural stone without any cut; someboday like polished stone(its very smart); someboday like dark, grey color, somebody like brighted color:red,yellow,green ...
they are all vrey nice, very beauty! why did you like this not like that?
-------i think that the personal character is a big reason!

I think the type of stone that we like as individuals will vary, depending on where we are in the hobby of collecting and our own personal development.

Speaking for myself, I started out seeking what i believed was " Japanese standard " and tried to find
darker colored stones in the more highly regarded shapes. One of my latest stone collected is a mix of wild colors that evolks memories of hiking trips in the mountains, including wildflowers blooming among the snowfields. others may or may not experience this same feeling from this stone, but it speaks highly to me.

After a few years you begin to anticipate certain shapes and colors that differ from place to place. I think this influences us, Knowing what has been produced by any one particular place in previous trips. Who we hang out with, while collecting, can also have it's affect as we transistion in the hobby.


there are many teachers and many differing ways to view things. Ultimately you settle on what feels comfortable at the stage of your appreciation, for after all the collecting trips and shows are gone for the year, you should find something in your collection that resonates with your own soul.

collecting is a personal journey. Being untied to any one preference of stone shape or color allows one to be
able to appreciate simplicity, the KEY to happiness.
