Help to Identify Tiny Bug on Soil Empty Help to Identify Tiny Bug on Soil

Hi All,

I see some white tiny bugs on the soil of my bonsais. They are very tiny and moved very quickly around the soil when it is being watered.

Can you guys help to take a look at the photos below and see if they are root aphids or hypoaspis miles? On soil surface, they look really white, but when you moved them on a white surface, they are sort of transparent and not white. I was hoping it was hypoaspis miles but am not certain now...

Thanks!

Looking at the images on the web, it looks like hypoaspis miles to me. Anyone with a different opinion?

You are getting this silence, I suspect, because few of us are from Singapore and don't know the critters there. You might take it to a GOOD garden center and see if anyone there can help.

Mites have 8 legs. Insects (aphids, etc.) have six. My eyes are too poor to count legs on your pictures.

Thanks Jim. I'll try to take a close-up picture. I googled for images of hypoaspis miles, they do look very similar.
