Since it is a caudiciform succulent, it will probably grow new leaves unless it is rotted. I trust you have it in full sun.

I think there is definately something wrong...

You are in mid summer right?  It is suppose to be growing strong.

If you press the caudex between thumb and forefinger, is it soft or hard?

If it has no leaves, then absolutely NO water!!!

Love and light.

Ps  Who said that they cant be bonsai......  Jun are you lurking somewhere?  hihihihihihihihi

Maybe it is just dry...they do need summer rain often.

OH YES Andre! I am always here. There was a long discussion about that here somewhere. It is a succulent not a tree (or a bush or a hard or soft wood). In Indonesia and Malaysia and Thailand where they are famous ( Like Japan and China for Bonsai) they are categorized and exhibited in a different event/category. Just look for it here in IBC. I don't want to hijack Johns trend.

John if the roots are dry or overwatered they die easily.

Love, Light and beyond, hehehe!
