Simpson’s Stopper  (Myrcianthes feragrans) is a native shrub in Florida used a lot in landscapes. I believe this tree an urban collection, grown in a local Bonsai nursery and then used by the BSOB for a demo, I won the raffle, I am showing it today for the interesting gray bark which sloughs off to reveal a reddish color underneath. The new bark with eventually turn grey also.
