Hello My Friends - Members IBC Forum ,
I would like to thank the comments and share the experiences of My Friends who have given me .
I will continue to learn ... as the example below :
1. It is SHIMAGATA - ISHI ?
2. It is YAMAGATA - ISHI , if I put it on DAIZA ?

Great question Smile

is it an island stone or a mountain stone. I do think it's presentation could affect how it is viewed. I definetely would suggest you consider making a daiza for it as being able to use it in a suiban or daiza might help it in certain situations. As someone who loves tokonoma display, having the stone to be used by itself or as an accessory makes it more valuable in my mind.

If I had to quess on this one, I'd lean more toward an island stone, but cannot say with any clarity. Sorry.
Anxious to see others "take" on it's shape. It has great presence. Thank-you for posting....

Well Hung my friend! for me
SABAKU SHIMAGATA-ISHI seen as Desert Island Stone
I think Dick gives you very good advise!...ThumbsUp
IMHO "to daiza or not to daiza" is always a big question.
even for some yard size stones I have made mountings,
as I can use them in displays inside or out, as suggested.
One thing I know for sure! Is that it's nice to have options.
Choices are a good thing! One day this, next week that!
When not positive? "daiza", if you change your mind?
that stone becomes a very special gift!...Basketball

Hung my friend
As Chris as said always best to take pictures in sets of three...Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven
"Front-Back, Left-Right,Top-Bottom" especially when considering a daiza.
Very important when trying to find the best "Front", I sometimes have trouble...scratch
most times with this same triangle base type of cut stone, but like your choice.
Ask Ms Yvonne! she is very good at this, as is Sunip & Peter or others here.
Best Advise from experts...Basketball

Hi Trantanhung

I think you found the best front the stone.. from this angle can the viewer enjoy the prettiest parts of the mountain.
But to be honest, am I not kean on the stone...the shape from the birdsview... and the fact, that the top of the mountain is in the center of the stone, when viewed from the front.
The texture of the stone "worries" me too

You have found much better stones.

Kind regards Yvonne
