Any thoughts on my Ginkgo "Mariken". I have had it for 3 years and potted it this year. The tree has very small leaves, the pot is about 9" wide. Thanks, Mike

Do you have any pictures of it without leaves?

My thoughts would be to open it up to see the interior structure to at least expose some branching for display or reveal some design elements as yet hidden that you may want to exploit.

Fred and Vance,

Thanks for the replies. I do not have any photo's of the tree with out leaves. This particular Mariken does not have a lot branches on it. The branch going to the left in the first photo wraps around the back and has no other branches on it. There are 2 branches on the right side. The upper branch does split off into 2 smaller branches. It kind of goes to the right and makes a sharp 45 degree turn to the left again. The lower branch kind of wraps around the right side. It could be lowered some to open it up.
