Log wood need same advice.

Hello!

So I wanted to have  samething looking like that.
I found a trunk of log wood and now it growing free in a pot.
I have a few questions.
1. When I should start to put a wire?
2. When I should strat to cut branches?

logwood responds very well to grow and clip. Perhaps, choosing the main branches, and getting them into proportion might make more sense?

Additionally you could draw up a design and work towards that ?

In addition to what Khaimraj has suggested, if you study Budi's tree from the link you will realize that he employed the clip and grow method in combination with wiring the branches in place and developing the ramification from there.

So a good way to start would be to draw a design using some or all of the branches the tree now has and develop it towards that. Growing it out in a deeper pot or in the ground will hasten the growth and get the main branches in proportion with the trunk fairly quickly.

I am growing one from a seedling and what I've found out is that heavy feeding combined with occasional clipping promotes growth and back-budding which will be crucial for you to develop the tree.

You have a long straight trunk with no taper. I would cut down by 1/2 to 2/3 and work with only the lowest branches. You could leave some of the trunk to carve.
