This is a small valley very near where I live and where I love to spend a lot of time. It has given me a lot of inspiration over the years.
The ancient hawthorns are mind blowing!!!!!

Chris,

Wow!!

A question, in the ancient days of the Celts and other tribes, were these areas heavily forested ?
Thank you.

Hi Khaimraj,
Flora and fauna has changed for many reasons over time, the neolithic was a massive turning point in this time scale with humans impacting big time with deforestation and the domestication of animals and crops. There is evidence for these areas having been forested before this time. Now there is this sort of natural tree line but in little pockets such as this these hardy trees grow and with these wild untrained bonsai artists out there well say no more,
but I did catch a glimpse of one!!!!!

Yes, Chris,

on our side the same masters, though less heavy with woolen wear, will train the guavas of the fields.
Thanks for the additional image.
Beautiful world.
Later.

Hi Chris,

I'm in a little market town at the meeting of the River Barrow and the Grand Canal in south-west County Kildare about 70km south west of Dublin. Very flat open planes around me so quite envious of your area. I love the many valleys you have and sheep. Your land has character and even the sheep bear a certain look. I've seen the lovely hawthorne you guys collect and just think its yamadori collected from heaven. Thanks for showing us this amazing place Chris.

Cheers,
Adam
