Just trying to be frugal, they are the thing that I have found that are readily available. I get them at the dollar store, for well, $1 each.

That trunk chopped one has good taper.
I'd rip off the lowest of the new growth, water and fertilize it like crazy and maybe sit in a 2" tub of water.

They are fixing to go into some tubs, just haven't gotten to it yet, probably do it this weekend.
