Burnt Bonsai table
Together with my friend Edwin we designed a table that suits his bonsai. Since the Tree is rough looking, also the amazing John Pitt pot, which is rough looking as well. It makes more sense to have a rough looking table under it then a beautiful high gloss table. The movement of the tree is round, so is the pot, so will be the table!
With the burnt the oakwood that I used gives a amazing craquelé to it.
Dimensions table: diameter 38cm x 12cm
More pictures of this table and other tables can be seen on the facebook page ''MB Bonsai tables''

Wow! I'm not at all certain of the "burnt" look, but I love the little table!

Your burnt table lends itself to the ancient texture of the tree. I cannot help but imagine a bright moon floating above an ancient pine atop a distant mountain. The table becomes the base of the mountain. Old, scraggly Zen master Ikkyu Shojun becomes the tree and reflects:
Many paths lead from the foot of the mountain,
but at the peak
we all gaze at the single bright moon
