Hey gang,

Just thought I'd post a pic of my first attempt at making a container. The pot is 19"x15"x3.5" with no drainage hole. This pot is for a Bald cypress that I have which is one of the reasons there are snakes for feet. Wish I could repot the tree now but it will have to wait until next year.

Very nice, Randy. I like the colors and the snakes. The concept of no holes for a bald cypress is a good idea. Wish I had one.

Here is the second pot that came out of the kiln last week. It's 19"x15"x3.5".

My compliments Randy.

These pots are very creative. I especially like the design on the second pot.

You have done very well for your first attempt.

What cone do you fire?

Cheers,
Paul

Well thank you very much Paul! Comming from an excellent potter like you thats quite a complement indeed. The pots are reduction fired to cone 10 in a natural gas updraft kiln. I'm anxious to do some pots in our new Soda kiln too so I'll have to get busy fiddle'n with clay.
