can anything be done with this prunus lusitanica?

Hello all,
I have poted a remaining choped prunus, that was going to be removed were it was.
do you thing it can be used for something? it is a big trunk but does not have many branches.

plant it in a large pot, with some fine root selection. in a year or two you'll have a decent nebari, and it will give enough time to your tree to build some branches. (btw, select the primary branch that you'll use for the "trunk" right now, and cut the branches that start from the base)
when waiting for the nebari to improve, you can work this deadwood part (hammer & old screwdriver (wood scissors are too sharp) are your best tools, the idea is to break this wood structure open, to let water and sun work this dead wood. after a few years of aging, you'll work it again with more appropriate tool (wire brush, dremel...)
in 5 years you could get a decent tree Smile

many thanks Very Happy I really appreciate your feedback. It have lots of dead wood to work with
I will let it recover some more time and then will start working on it.
