This is yet another cutting from my old cascade. Eight inches tall, including the pot.

Nice one, Jim, and I like the pot you have it in, you don't see red too often and I think it goes well with the flowers. How long has it been since you struck the cutting? I have a quince but it is not much to look at bonsai-wise, just wondering how long it took you to get this one here. I also like the quince that you posted in another thread.

Thanks.

It seems they strike roots almost overnight, but it took a few years of pruning and wiring to get this clump. It has been blooming all winter. This is the last flower.

It's a beauty Jim. How and when do you strike Quince cuttings? Do you use bottom heat or hormone? I just really love em.

been enjoying your pots Smile

I have tons of quinces, but not too long ago was a comment on oh no not another quince, so i haven't been posting.

I have one branch on a toyo nishiki that blooms red, the others all white to pink. You can see the red buds swelling. Always something i look forward to each spring. this quince is over 80 years old and is at the entrance to my japanese garden.

My orange chojubai's are blooming. Ask most folks about chojubai and they'll tell you they only come in white and red. This sport was discoverd a decade back by a nursery in California. It's a true orange color. It has the bigger leaves and courser look of the white. Still very nice.

I love my quinces. thanks for posting Smile
