Re: Advice for Junip
Looks like a very nice job and a better-than-average tree.
I suppose you could repot in 2-3 months. But with a tree this nice, isn't it better to be safe than sorry? I have never worked with J. communis. It doesn't grow anywhere near me. But I have heard they are quite sensitive at times, so top work and root work in the same year might be pretty tough on it.
Spend this next growing season carefully refining and pinching the top and repot next winter/spring.

I would agree, why hurry? If it's been in that pot a while I think you could pull it out and see if there is any matting at the bottom and just remove that for now.Numa wrote:Hi Jim

On the tree I would tilt it a bit more for two reasons. One the trunk appears to come straight out of the ground right now. Also tilting it would put the upper line at more of a point where it appears to cascade down. Next I would remove the first two branches before the upper line; they distract from the movement to the right. Finally I would level out the bottom of the last foliage pads so the are parallel to the ground. There! My two cents worth free of charge.

Re: Advice for Junip
Hello Numa,
It is indeed better to repot next growing season the juniper needs the green foliage to gain some vigor again now,
then he will be able to handle the stress of repotting next year.
On major work at a time is best here.
BUT.. what you could do, is to change the position of the tree in the pot without doing anything to the rootball.
I think this rootball is easy to lift and replace because it will be quit compact?
The part of the rootball what comes out of the pot you can support with a piece of plastic.
When the rootball allows no drainage, no water and aircirculation anymore, you can carefully make some holes with a chopstick.

Hello Twisted Trees
Hello Sunip
Thank you for your valuable advice, I'll wait for the next season to repot and let fortify the whole growing season.
For what is the position in the pot and branches too, could you develloper your approach with a virtual or because I see happen, but not how to proceed.
I appreciate your help.

Good job. Now, for the rest of this year, just look at it and plan.

Hello Sunip
I agree with your vision of the movement for the trunk but this place is rather short and thick. Maybe with raffia and wire thick?
At least for next year, now rest
Thank you for the advice.

Hi Sunip,
I even think that this is the best thing to do
Until winter finally stops
