pinus halepensis
Hello, the big problem with pinus halepensis is that the needles are juvenile and very long during all the life of the tree, it's very difficult, impossible to reduce them.

Yes lots and lots of experience with them. I have several dozen in my yard. Very popular tree in So-Cal
Fast grower, if you can get them cheap, go for it.
they drop seeds like crazy and I have muchos seedlings come up each spring
Juvenile foliage is not dominant like Pinea, they do have long needles, treat like Thunbergii
I feel like the Black pine is so much better, Ive abandoned all allepos....

Beautiful tree, Jeffrey! I remember those from the Medierranean region. Wondering if they can be grown in Florida. Anyone knows?
