The Gentleman of Bonsai in time of need! Empty The Gentleman of Bonsai in time of need!

Many of us know Ed Trout from the fourm, few of us know him personally and even fewer of us knew his Grand daughter Chelsey Taylor. She passed last night in a valliant effort against leukemia. I am sitting here crying while typing this post thinking of their loss. I do know what a great person Ed is so I can't imagine how great she was.
Let all give out a show of support for this family in their time of need.

Ed,

I don't know you from a bar of soap, but I can only imagine that you are going through a tough time. Not at all cool. All the best to you and your family.

Vasbyt,

Andrew

A very sad and traumatic time for all the family and difficult for those of us who haven't experienced that sort of loss to fully comprehend. I have passed on my condolences over on another site but I fully realise that the words are just not there that can take away the pain. I only know Ed a little but I believe he is a gentleman of strength and I hope our words help him retain that.

Thanks, Mitch, for posting this.

I knew she was in hospital fighting for her life on FB and many prayed for her, but so sorry to know she didn't make it.
My deepest condolences for you and your family, Ed... She will rest in peace... Amin.

Ed, I know the pain and heartache you are going through. I lost my 32yo sister 3 weeks ago to cancer. Take solace in the fact that she has no more pain or discomfort. I always try to look at it as a celebration of what she had and who she was. Not what she won't have or will miss out on.

Thoughts and condolences to you and your whole family.

The Gentleman of Bonsai in time of need! Empty Thank You

Thank you everyone for your kind words. The last 5 months have been a nightmare for my Daughter and our entire family. I take solice knowing that Chelsey is now in a better place, and in no more pain. I also thank God for my bonsai garden, where I was able to ease my mind, even for a few hours. We have to find a cure for this terrible disease !

I dont know any of the family, relatives or friends, but my thought go out to them. I recently went to a benefit, organised by the mother of a girl that is suffering from the same illness, the mother being a collegue of my girlfriend. The girl is on the mending, but just to let you know my thoughts are with you and i know its a long way and that family and support really help if you're in need.

I am very sorry for your tragic loss. My sister is going through the very same disease right now. It is not easy.
I also have a 10 month old granddaughter who will undergo her second open heart surgery very soon. The gut-wrenching helplessness that I am feeling certainly pales in comparison to what you have experienced. May you find enduring peace in bonsai that your granddaughter has found.
