Anyone Ever Try one of These?

It is called purple star dust magnolia. I picked it up at the local flea market, what do you think? Any advice or tips?

It'll depend on leaf size. Many, but not all, magnolia have quite large leaves.

Brush up on your homework. I think what you have is Magnolia stellata 'Pink Stardust.' See Bonsai4Me article on magnolias. Also, there is a thread here on star magnolia. Use the search engine at the top of the page. Google tells all. Also, International Bonsai magazine had some magnolia bonsai a couple of years ago.
