One of things I would do is to remove the branches that are too close together on the trunk, or opposite one another, then wire everything else, at that point maybe you can better see where to go.

Assuming it wasn't just collected. I'd probably pull the larger branch on the left up as the new crown / apex with a guy wire. Pull the second main (on the right) branch down as a back branch and of course lots of wiring to create some shape to the foliage.

Sorry the virtual is so terrible.

Pavel has multiple examples of trees that start off pretty similar to this and he's able to transform them into magnificent pieces with his styling and a few years of refinement.

My first idea was to work with the largest branch only, by bending it above the trunk. Something like your drawing Cram. Maybe someone else has another view on this tree.

Recently worked on this tree, under supervision.
I still have a lot to learn. I need to work on the deadwood.
