Search and Rescue as the bleeding heart types.

Post  Khaimraj Seepersad on Wed Nov 07, 2012 3:04 pm

Okay folks,

I am a sucker for anything in pain or suffering.
Well here they are, wired to death and the last survivors out of 35 "Bonsai" sent from Thailand.
The plastic is holding the bark onto the shrub.

All are around 6" [ 15 cm ] tall

[1] Zanthoxylum .type ?
[2] Fukien tea

I normally don't list prices I paid for something, since I was raised to and believe that vocalising costs is low class.
BUT in this case - it was $30.00 US [ x 6.35 = TT $]

I could only do this because I have jars in which I save my 1, 5, 10 $ and coppers / silvers. Every Christmas I open, could give half to charity and either save for another year or buy something.

Business can be so ugly.

All of the others died, because I believe no one watered them.
Later.

Hello Nigel,

I will slowly reply to all as the day ages.

Happily, all are alive. The two fukien teas are in larger, saucer shapes pots and have long extensions, as I try to heal the damage.

I had to take my heart into my hands, and washed all of the soil off of the Chinese S. pepper [ Zantho......], there were many leaves, but they stayed yellowish.
Seems to be improving, but I expect a few more months and with the rains, hopefully it will be growing aggressively.
I will try to get some images to show you.
Thanks for asking.
Hope all is well with you.

* You may also be amused, that in the movie - Highlander, clan Macleod was battling clan Fraser, my grandmother was a Fraser [ French - strawberry ]

And for a little more - chuckle - My grandfather is a Hackshaw -http://www.houseofnames.com/hackshaw-family-crest

So now my L.L.B you can add blue blood to your veins - Smile

Okay here you are Nigel, and sleeping L.L.B,
The Fukien teas would have been longer of shoot, but I had a mild parasol [ bachac ] ant attack. Using a systemic to keep the ants at bay.

As you can see the pepper tree is just beginning to recover from the original soil. I was afraid to touch it, as I have experience with the Fukien teas, but little with the pepper.

The idea for the Fukien's is 15 cm height and about 2.5 cm trunks and a pot. Look cute and pretty, and I am happy.
Later.
