Bonsai with Organics
Hi All,
I have been using Organics such as Bioactive cocopeat for my garden and plants for better fertility, but I just want to ask that whether these Organics if used on Bonsai will also show better results for it?
Actually, Bioactive cocopeat are perfect organic growing medium and multipurpose soil conditioner saves the environment, time, money and water, without causing any harm to the environment and increasing fertility.
I appreciate your suggestions.

Re: Bonsai with Organics
You live in a dry country. You may have success, as you have a need to include organics to prevent drying out too quickly. Where I live we have the trouble of too much water fairly quickly, so I try to include only very little organic matter in soil mixtures.

Hey leatherback,
Thank you Very Much for your suggestions.
this is true that I live in a warm area, but actually what I exactly want to know is that whether the Organics will really gives a great result in the Bonsai Section also.

Hello Anapaine,
try and look at your situation from this -
----------------We grow our Bonsai for beauty, not for size or for food.---------------
That said, as long as your trees are healthy, all you need to think about is the DESIGN.
I repot in our dry season, and can use organics [ home made compost and or cocopeat ] at up to 80 % by volume, because by the time the rains come the trees are well and truly rootbound [ those in standard Bonsai pots ] Water won't harm them, and the soil is designed to be freely draining.
I repot after 2nd January and the rains come around May to June.
Fertilizer is added once a week at 1/3 strength and only for two months into the rainy season, then I stop for the year.
Humidity and other conditions will handle all the extra growth.
You will have to keep experimenting for your area, until you are satisified that you are at your plants' maximum for health.
Talk to those around you locally who grow Bonsai or just plants, look at the conditions, observe.
You should be okay.
Later.

Hi,
I am also using Bioactive Cocopeat for my garden since last two years and had observed great changes over it.
However, I havn't used them in Bonsai.Although, I think that it might be producing positive effect for it also.

Bioactive cocopeat.
Bio active cocopeat is very good product. I too used it for my garden. Bio active peat is made from natural product, hence it causes no harm to plants. But it increases the productivity and fertility of soil. The cocopeat bricks is also a good product, it helps plants to store water.
I have read the blog for bio active cocopeat.
