hi,
2nd picture down, i'd change the lovely pot and put a deciduous tree with good bark in it - pale crackle glazed pots look good, but not really with bleached deadwood, and this pot is huge for the tree size too.
drop the left hand branch and foliage down a lot & I would bend the upper right branch towards the viewer and build the crown from that - simple layers of foliage, not to many and not too heavy as the trunk is slender so the foliage wants to be light.
nice material.
cheers Marcus

What program do you use to do that? Beautiful.
I bet it was a Fine Arts program. The technique undoutedly began with tracing the one of the images provided, then free-handing the foliage and branching changes, and water-color painting the inked drawing. Regardless, I echo Marcus: Dorothy, "fantastic drawing - absolutely brilliant!"

haha, bloody ell - i really did think there were a couple of gifted fast artists on here , drawing ink outlines and watercolouring them in .....how gullable was that its a fancy photoshop afterall !
still a nice pic tho
here is a photoshop of an easily achievable design, but to be fair all the pics are looking down from a very steep angle - the true view may not look as good
wtf - servmgcom has gone down ! it is saying in red "Your picture has not been uploaded"

Well, that explains why I was not able to post a photo a bit ago. I thought it was me...

It's the fast version with simple photoshop. That's why it's called a virtual, or computer simulated. Still takes a couple of hours or three. No fine arts program! Nada. It's not a push-a-button-mona-lisa. In addition, the design is something you need to come up yourself. No program can do that for you. Sorry I am not the kind of artista you thought I was..whatever you thought..
Glad you like it, Jeffrey. It is really difficult to tell if the angles work out that way. You know what I mean. Great material!

It's so difficult to design a 3-d tree from the 2-d images we see on this forum. We see an angle and a line, but we have no idea if it's truly viable. What looks wonderful in a manipulated photo may have no relevance in the reality of that tree.
I love D's virts. But what she says above... is very well said.

I need to expand what I and others could not do the virtual if we tried. I just wanted to know what program you used to complete the virtual. Again no insult or degrading in you you wonderful effort. I have just been seeking a program to start with for my own sake
