Hi everyone,

first time I post one of my trees here. It is usually the first one to show autumn colors. I bought it in a bonsai nursery in Seoul, South Korea in 1998.

Hello,

thank you everyone for your nice comments! Very Happy
I forgot to mention the height, it is 42 cm. This tree is one of my first trees and anyway the only survivor from these early days. It has had its ups and downs (due to my limited and ever growing experience), but now, I think, it is beginning to show some mochi komi or maturity.

in many cases i find the root-over-rock style is badly executed, or too artificial... but this one...the way it sits and the the roots find their way into the soil, noithing too artificial, it looks very natural... and that rock, and its angle...thats just very subtile... someone clearly knew what he/she was doing, and look where your tree is know after all that time... i think its a very naturalistic tree, regardless of the styling and pruning or wiring that was executed so far.

That is a not so 'ordinary' root-over-rock, and its a gem

Thank you for your nice reply.

This is how the tree loked like when i purchased it. I changed the front and the planting angle.
