punica granatum nejiikan, nice old trunk (for me)
i like it a lot, i think he could be nice on every angle.
what do you think?
i lifted it up a bit during repoting because i found it too angled.
i would like in the future to lift it more or even to angle it a bit in the other direction so i could let him grow his branch structure uppon the base (i haden't put him the way i would like because of the roots system)

Very nice trunk. The top will be a bit nicer too when you can remove that thick, stright, upright branch in th middle, then pull in some of the other branches.
Have fun with it.

you're absolutly right, this thick branch will be cut as most of the thick length i think, but not yet because i want to be carefull and to take my time, when he will have recover from the repotting and budding along this branch i will try to improve it a bit.
later on i will probably thin a bit the top of the dead wood also.
happy you like it, what do you think about angle it the other way to open the curve (curl, trunk line)

Assuming the first picture as the front, I think it is fine "as is."

thanks jim for your opinion,
i realise it is a bit strange to ask about angle plantation on pictures,
i'm not decided about the front as every sides has good and bad points and that's not really a problem(in my opinion) because i think this tree could be good on every sides,
but i do wonder about the feeling of the general trunk line "closing up" as it is or "oppening" as he could be
i tried a paint drawing...sorry about that

That tree IMHO is fantastic....lots of possibilities. With some good work it will turn into a fine natural bonsai. Thanks for posting.
Have a great weekend!!!

i think i 'm going to let him grow everywhere because of the very bad weather here,
unless a very strong grow during summer, i will not reduce the straight lenth this year,.i'll take pictures again to show you in fall.

I think this is a wise decision. Let it grow free this year.
I hope the weather in France gets to normal for the season soon!
