Identifying Tree from Germany

Post  JoesBonsai on Tue Oct 02, 2012 2:23 pm

Hi All

I need help in identifying this tree, a bit of history I went to Germany on business and when I had a bit of time went for a walk in the parks this is where I came across this tree in the Dusseldorf area so immediately I grabbed some seeds and bought them back to South Africa .I only manage to bring 4 because I was afraid what they would say at the Airport so planted all 4 and only one germinated
If anyone has a Bonsai of this tree please post photos

Many Thanks
Joe

They make great bonsai, but they do not take very well to the heat. Depending on your climate, maybe in a "few" years you can have something like this one.

In the meanwhile, keep the kids and the dogs away from it.

Strikes me as an unpleasant way to go.
