Do you do anything to preserve the deadwood?

Jose - I brought one home with me too. A small one for shohin. It has a way to go. Now in a pot by Dale Cochoy.
Mine went in the carry on luggage so it had to be a wee one.

Potted up with no work

After some minor carving and a bit of wire - time to grow.

Rob: Beautiful little tree.Carving just eniugh to not look "man-made". It enhances the look of age on trunk and little deadwood does not upstage natural aging of bark.
