Home made lime sulfur
This past weekend I've decided to do my own lime sulfur recepie butwhen aplied, it didn't bleached deadwood as suposed...
The recepie used:
1lt water
70g lime
100g sulfur
Does anyone have similar experience?

I would advise against making your own, the process can be dangerous.

This was the process I've used and yes I was very cautious in the process and with the steams.

The effects of lime sulfur are not immediate, and time to bleach depends on the concentration of your solution and the air temperature, to some extent. To obtain extreme white bleaching, you usually have to reapply at least once. I'd wait one month before reapplying.

It also helps to wet the surface before the LS is applied, that helps open the grain of the wood.

Also done that Billy. Can it be the species? I've used it in a arbutus unedo that I'm preparing for a tanuki
