Stories from a show No 1

Walking around a show and looking at the trees is great but there are stories behind them!

The recent show Bonsai in Wales 2012 is a good example

Bob Bailey from Swindon is one of the best people in Europe showing Mame bonsai, years of experience has brought about breath taking displays like this.


















Apart from this show Bob is having a year off, lets hope he's back at it next year

Thanks for the pics Chris, I have enjoyed my year off from showing,but I will be back next year on a limited basis. I have decided to take the advice of my old teacher Natsuo Kobiashi who I was lucky enough to work with for four years whilst he was in the UK. One of his favourite phrases was "Winter is for showing,Summer is for growing". So I will be spending the Summer months working on and developing new trees,which will all be kept in larger pots.
My next show will be ShohinUK in March 2013.
