Matievski, That is an interesting way to heal cut wounds. Please keep us informed on the progress.

The after photo did not load on my Mac. Did anyone else see it? I would really like to see the end results so if the photo viewing problem isn't on my end would you please reload it. Thanks.
As for having the whole side of the tree that has been hollowed out callousing over, I doubt it ever will. I collected a similar tree that nature itself had hollowed and the callouss grew for probably 30 to 50 years. This tree was probably close to 200 years old. The callous grew large but never covered the wound. It made the tree look older. The tree now resides in a friend's collection as I gave it to him.

Re: Twin Trunk Bald Cypress
Ken, what an awesome tree! I may try this on one of my big trees once it regains its strength next year or Spring of 2016. I will need to practice my carving.

Thank You Sikadelic.
I plan on working on this tree this weekend, it needs to be pruned and wired.
How are your new BC's doing?

2 of the 3 are looking great and throwing buds and shoots like crazy. One of the has yet to move at all so I fear it's a gonner.
