C02 supplementation
just curious if anyone here has used C02 supplementation in their green houses with any significant growth results?

CO2
CO2 is used for fast growing herbaceous crops to make them grow a little faster. Most bonsai growers, at least in the US, do not have greenhouses. The growth rate of most bonsai is so slow that adding CO2 would be meaningless.

Re: C02 supplementation
i think the greenhouse / polytunnel is one of the most useful bonsai growing tools you can have although injecting co2 probably would not be that beneficial as good air circulation & ventilation is essential to stop moulds and mildews forming - even more so as we have far denser branching and foliage than 'normal' plants.
techniques used for speed growing of various 'green' crops are not going to aid bonsai that often as we want really short nodes, controled steady growth and smaller than average foliage to give a bonsai a mature and aged appearance. Boosting growth too much will lengthen the nodes between leaves, make the fine twigs thicker and potentially make leaves and needles larger, so almost anti-bonsai methods. it does depend what stage the material you are working with is at though, and if you have the stuff to set it up laying around spare i guess.
