the ficus benjamina in my garden

hi all in forum, i'm newcomer. And this is my tree, the big ficus, i buy it 1 year ago from a friend

Wonderful material. I enjoy the bold styling with the loops on the left.

I know we are a world apart, but purely out of curiousity, what does your substrate consist of? I was going to guess coco peat and river sand, but on closer inspection Ive convinced myself that the first picture is just pure roots. It is one happy tree, unlike my poor bejiminas. I attempted a branch graft last week with a thumb tack. a pinch of salt on the floor for good luck

Hi Rainbow

It is a very impressing trunk you have here...how high and wide was the trunk before the branches appeared?.
The tree has a great future as bonsai.

hi David, thanhs for your visit my topic Very Happy . you guessed right, it's coco peat and river sand, but in the first picture it not just pure roots, it's coco peat i put over roots for cool and keep water.
ps: don't put so much salt on the pot, it not good for your tree Very Happy

the trunk hight 90 cm and wide about 70 cm before the branches appeared
