Re: Suiseki in my garden
Hi suiseki133... Aaapostol has not posted on the Stone Forum recently (last post April 9th). Many of his stones are limestone & this one appears to be limestone, as well.

I really like the stone in the 2nd photo, but what also caught my eye were the gnomes in the bonsai pot on the lower left side of photo. Pete

what's not to like?
Apostol, i also really like your stone,
It has many quality's, i enjoy.
Best i think is that it can stand up right,
on it own on just a flat board, however.
i see you have made a stand for it,
so you must have had plenty of time,
to consider direction, shape and orientation.
I see a Samurai Warrior, in a battle stances.
but wonder what this stone would look like horizontally?
The large open cavity would better be appreciated,
smooth skin like surface, and the color are also very desirable.
For me the feeling of motion is the most powerful,...

Could be Cloud?
Apostal,
Could you Please post a laying down view of your suiseki,
back and front?
I am thinking the large hole passes through it completely,
so thinging it can be seen as a cloud...
also what size Please?
