SUISEKIS from Spain

Post  spanish-suiseki-associati on Mon Jul 20, 2009 8:20 pm

Dear all,

I would like to share with you some stones found in a Spanish river last week. (You can click the photos to enlarge them)

They are dark (as you can see in the photos), they are hard, and you can clean and rub with no problems to scratch them. They are smooth; there is no anything like the water of the river along thousands of year making its work.

The place shows promise to find good stones, maybe suiseki with the right daiza or suiban.

The last one is a funny photo (It is a summer joke Wink )

This rock trapped me like magnet. This is the explanation why I am engaged in looking for suiseki.

Best regards,
Jose Manuel Blazquez

Hi José... Thank you for sharing your finds, which have that nice quality of rounded-aging on edges stones that still hold distinctive contour.
